Wrestler William Scott Goldberg was born on December 27th 1966 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on December 27, 1966. Goldberg never really liked wrestling when he was a kid, but he loved football. He was on his high school team in Tulsa and received a scholarship to play football for the University of Georgia Bulldogs in 1985. In 1990, Goldberg was drafted by the LA Rams of the National Football League. Goldberg made it to the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons in 1992. Goldberg played just 14 games in the NFL before an abdominal injury forced him to call it quits in 1994. With his football career over, Goldberg decided to see if he could make some noise in the wrestling ring. Goldberg began training in martial arts and started working out at the WCW's wrestling training school. In 1997, Goldberg stepped into the ring for the first time and the wrestling world was changed forever.
