Gethin Clifford Jones (born 12 February 1978) is a British television presenter. He studied Economics and Geography before becoming a presenter of children's programmes for S4C. In 2003, he won the title of Company Magazine bachelor of the year. On 27 April 2005 he became the 31st presenter of the long-running BBC children's series Blue Peter. An Economics and Geography graduate, Gethin was the Captain of his university rugby union first XV and had trials with Sale RFC. He won the Northern British University Sport Association Championships and also represented the Lancashire under-21 teams.Gethin is also a keen footballer, tennis player and golfer, as well as a talented musician with grade eight violin and grade six piano. He was the leader of three county orchestras.
