Jason Statham (born September 12, 1972 in London, England) is an English actor. He was the second son to a singer and a dancer, and today lives in Los Angeles. Before moving into acting, he was a diver, a fashion model and a black market salesman. Statham was a member of the British Olympic team in 1988 in Seoul, Korea and 1992 in Barcelona, Spain. Known best for his work in the Guy Ritchie crime caper films Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, though he has also appeared as a supporting character in several Hollywood productions such as The One and the American remake of The Italian Job and its upcoming sequel The Brazilian Job. His latest work is the Transporter franchise.
