Will Carling was born in Bradford On Avon, UK, on 12th December 1965. Love him or hate him, there is no doubt that Will is one of the most significant figures in the history of English rugby. Will captained England on a record 59 occasions between 1988 and 1996, winning 75% of his matches in charge and leading England to three Grand Slams and a World Cup final. His image as a ladies' man prompted press to link him to Diana,Princess of Wales, in the mid-90s. Will was in some ways the original Rugby pin-up, setting the benchmark for future hunks Wesley Cotton, Ben Cohen and Jonny Wilkinson.  Many believe that he heightened the profile of Rugby in the UK. Will retired from Rugby in 1997, but as these pictures prove, he was a hard act to follow in the hunk stakes.
