Born in Rome, on February 29th 1972, Antonio Sabato Jr. and his family (including his father, Italian film actor Antonio Sabato, Sr.) moved to L.A. when he was 12. After graduating from Beverly Hills High School, he got an agent and his first gigs: modeling jobs and a role in Janet Jackson's music video for "Love Will Never Do (Without You)." The actor also had a few Italian films under his belt by age 20, when GENERAL HOSPITAL hired him for his breakthrough role as teen heartthrob Jagger. When he left the show two years later, he appeared on MELROSE PLACE, then got worldwide exposure in ads for Calvin Klein underwear, pretty much becoming a household name. Antonio has spent the last decade steadily working in prime-time, film and TV movies, but he returned to the stability of soaps so that he could devote plenty of time to his children. |
