DATE OF BIRTH: 30th June 1970 KEY FACTS: The Emmy Award-winning Bloom came to fame on the long-running daytime drama As the World Turns. During his five years with the show, Bloom received three Emmy Award nominations, and won the Outstanding Young Man in a Drama Series Emmy in 1985. That same year, he was also nominated for a Young Artist Award. Since leaving As the World Turns, Bloom has become a fixture on television, guest-starring on popular series including Oz, The Nanny, Touched by an Angel, Matlock, 21 Jump Street, and Beauty and the Beast. He also had a recurring role on the highly-rated evening drama Melrose Place. In addition to his work on series, Bloom has also appeared in numerous made-for-television films, including Escape From Atlantis, Melanie Darrow, The Colony and a series of five Bandit films in which he played the title role. Bloom's experience on the silver screen is also extensive. He has appeared in numerous films, including Knocking on Death's Door, The Sender, Vampirella, The Webbers, Deuce Coupe, and Once Upon a Time in America.
