Miles O'Keeffe (born June 20, 1954 in Ripley, Tennessee) is a television and movie actor. Miles got his first big break playing the title role in Tarzan, the Ape Man. He is perhaps best remembered for his performance as Ator in three European movies made in the 1980s. Miles gained cult status in the UK between 1999 and 2002 as a result of being targeted by chat show host Graham Norton for prank calls, and appeared on the show So Graham Norton to great acclaim. In 1973 Miles transferred to Mississippi State University under a football scholarship. During this time, he bulked up to 240 lbs. After studying political science and psychology Miles became a prison councillor in the Tennessee penal system where he became manager of playground activities and inmate weight lifting programs. He left for California to play in a then current semi-pro Rugby team before becoming involved with Hollywood. |
