Ted Shackelford, born June 23, 1946 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is an American actor. Ted is best known for his role as Gary Ewing on the TV Series Knots Landing, which he starred in from 1979 until 1993. He also appeared as Gary Ewing on several episodes of TV's Dallas, the parent show of Knots Landing. Prior to his role on Knots Landing, Ted played the role of Ray Gordon on Another World. Ted gained a loyal fan following during his time on Knots Landing, helped by his frequent shirtless appearances. Ted has also played roles in Wonder Woman and most recently in The Division. He also starred in the British science fiction series, Space Precinct. On February 2, 2006, he joined the cast of The Young and The Restless .
