Usher Raymond
Usher Terry Raymond was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on 14th October 1978. Usher's family soon moved to Atlanta, GA where he joined the church choir – not surprisingly, he gained a lot of attention with his singing abilities. He was spotted by a LaFace record executive at a talent show and in no time at all Usher Raymond's career took off. He was introduced to the world simply as "Usher," and released his debut album of the same name in 1994. That first effort featured co-executive producer Sean "Puffy" Combs and the first single "Think of You" got Usher on the map as his album reached gold status. After graduating from high school, Usher released his sophomore album called "My Way" in 1997. The album established Usher as one of R&B's hottest artists, and also made him a crossover sensation not to mention a new sex symbol.
